Merry Christmas!

We had an awesome Christmas! I can't believe that it's already over!!! However, I am really excited about getting my house back to normal. Major was really disappointed that I already took down the tree- he really wanted me to keep it up until after New Year's. But...I just couldn't stand it anymore!

So, Christmas Eve started at Memaw's house with my dad's side of the family.
Memaw got Major a "Criss-Cross" track. He LOVES this thing!!!

After we left Memaw's, we ran by Agnes's house to do presents with her & Allan. Then, back to our house. We had so much to do to get ready for Santa! Major made reindeer food at school, and it needed to be sprinkled out in the yard. We had to make sure Santa could find his way to our house!

We also had to decide exactly what we wanted Santa to eat & drink when he came by our house. I had made brownies the day before, and we had bought the Christmas tree brownies from Walmart a few days ago... So, we left 2 of each! We made hot chocolate for Santa, instead of just regular milk. I'm sure it was nice & cold by the time Santa actually got here to drink it:)
My sweet little man also left a little note to Santa just telling him that he loved him!

Christmas morning... my mom & dad had stayed the night with us, and Bill & Sue came over before Major got up. Major must have been a very good boy this year- he got just what he wanted! The ground force drifter go-cart!

This year at school, the kids got to shop for their friends & family. I knew that Maj had bought something for all of us, but I had no clue what. I think all of us teared up a bit when we opened our gifts. He explained why he had bought each present, and it was just so cool how well he already knows all of us! For example, he bought Sue a purple ring because "she likes rings & LSU." Oh, he just makes my heart melt!

Papaw got a hat.
Nano & her purple ring.
Papa got a light.
Nene got a bracelet.
Dad got a knife.

The Kinect for the Xbox was a big hit!
Christmas Day was spent at my mom & dad's house. We ate lunch over there and hung out with the whole family.
We couldn't stay too long...we had toys that needed to be opened and played with!!! Who knew "moon shoes" were sooooo fun?!? They are hilarious!
Daddy is really excited about opening all the boxes, taking off all of the plastic & the twist ties, putting the toys together, & putting batteries in everything!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did!

Daddy's Birthday Weekend!

Trey turned the Big 3-2 this weekend! We headed to Dallas after school on Friday for a little BDay celebration. We got to the hotel in just enough time Friday night so that Maj could swim for about 15 minutes. Saturday morning started with my favorite place...La Madeleine. Then we went to see Santa. This Santa was outside, and he had 2 of his reindeer with him. Maj got his picture made with him, and is hoping Santa comes through with the "Ground Force Drifter!" (It's an electric go cart!)
I thought we were going to get to pet the reindeer, but they stayed in the cages, and didn't come too close to the kids standing around. Of course, Maj wanted to know which of the 2 reindeer those were, and why didn't Santa bring Rudolph with him!?!
Oh Santa, PLEASE bring me the Ground Force Drifter!!!

In the middle of the shopping center, there was a HUGE tree with presents all around it. My child, the climber, had to get on top of them!
Daddy is soooooo funny!
Now, you know I don't leave Dallas without 2 things...La Madeleine, for one, and SPRINKLES, for two!

After the Santa visit, we headed to Grapevine to the Gaylord. I had no clue that ICE at the Gaylord was soooo big! and soooo busy! We got there around 4:30, and had to buy tickets for the 7:30 time slot. So what to do for 2 hours?!? Well, the hotel was packed!!! The hotel has 4 restaurants, but all 4 had an hour wait. So we ate at the deli- it was our only option! Not the nice steak dinner that Trey & I had in mind, but we apparently had not planned the ICE outing very well! Thankfully, we bought the "fast pass" option and didn't have to wait in the huge line to go through the exhibit. I really wonder how long those people had to wait in line?!? (If you ever go, buy the fast pass- well worth it!)

So, they give everyone these blue coats. It is really cold inside!

My silly boys!
They even have an ice slide.

After ICE, we went to SNOW. This was Major's favorite part. It's 6 slides of snow.

After a LONG day, we went back to the hotel. We had to get ready for some football!

Our trip ended with the Dallas Cowboys game! I have been dying to take Major to see the stadium. Bill & Sue got us tickets for our birthdays! (Thanks, Nano & Papaw!) We had great seats and cheered the Cowboys to a win!

We had a great weekend! I am really looking forward to the next 2 weeks off of school, and spending Christmas with my family & friends! Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas!

Pre-K Christmas Party

Last Friday was the last day of school! YEA for Christmas Break!!! I got to Major's party a little late, but Nene & Nano were there to help out. The kids played bingo, made necklaces, got tattoos, and decorated cookies. They also exchanged books. Maj got a Spiderman book. He also brought home a goodie bag filled with candy!:)

The Maj is 6!

My little man turned 6 on the 14th! WOW! I still can't believe he is already 6!!! He wanted to have his party at Jump Zone again, and he decided on Scooby Doo as the theme. (I personally love having it at JZ- in & out in an hour & 45 min. & you don't have to clean up the mess!) We had 28 kiddos show up for the party! It's crazy how many kids you can invite when your child is in school & plays sports! Happy Birthday Major!!!
No cake this year...he wanted cupcakes, cookies, & cake bites.

The Sharp's, Riley's, and Houts's (you know...Major's future in-laws!)

Making a wish!
