Trophy Night

The boys placed 3rd in Tball this year!!!!! Not too bad!

Swimming Lessons

It's our 3rd year of swimming lessons...I think he may be getting the hang of it! Miss Tari is such a good teacher! Maj can swim with BIG arms, float on his stomach & back, swim on his back, etc, etc... He can do everything that Tari teaches him, but for the life of him he can not go underneath the water! It's the strangest thing!!! Tari even pushes him down to the bottom & he comes right back up. So, we will continue to practice & look forward to next year's lessons!

Weekend in KC

Last Thursday, we drove up to Kansas City to meet Shauna, Josh, & the kids for the weekend. We went to Schlitterbahn on Friday. It was a little disappointing, but the kids had a blast! You know kids...Major thinks the Mustang pool is to die for! :) We thought it was going to be huge like the one in Texas, but the KC one just opened. It is only on phase 1 of 9. BUT...in a few years that place will be really neat! (we checked out the model of it!)
After the water park, we had dinner at Paul's house (Trey & Shauna's cousin). The kids don't get to see Bryant very often, and I think they all made up for lost time! They played tag, baseball, and we had smores! I think I accidentally ate THREE of them!!! :)
So, the original plan was to go to Schlitterbahn for 2 days...until we found out there wasn't enough to do. So, we had the great idea of going to Worlds of Fun!!!!! (Should have been called World of Heat Stroke!) Holy Cow! I don't think I have ever been that hot! Saturday in Kansas City was one hot mother scooter! We did get to eat lunch in one of the restaurants that was inside & had A/C so that helped a little bit.
The Sharp's
The Henson's

Dad won Maj a basketball.... Missouri.... GO TIGERS!
I absolutely LOVE this pic of Kate & Maj. SOOOOOOOOOOOO stinkin' hot
out, but they were having a blast!
On to the next place........ Royals Game! They played the Athletics. We never actually sat in our seats because they were in the sun. The kids watched a little bit of the game, but enjoyed sitting on the top row & playing behind center field much more! They had tons of stuff for the kids to do. We stayed for a couple of innings, then headed to the Plaza for dinner. All of the shops were already closed, but I will definitely need to go back. Can you believe I have never been to The Plaza to shop?!? We will be going to KC for Thanksgiving Break...MIZZOU plays Kansas @ the Chief's stadium! Maybe I can get my shop on then!
Our busy, but fun weekend came to an end on Sunday. How convenient for Trey that across from our hotel there was a Cabela's!!!!!!!!! We made a little pit stop there then headed to Tuttle... and Trey didn't even gripe too much when I needed potty breaks!

Look at this kid............ this is how he came home! New orange hunting hat and hunting boots from Cabela's , and his new MIZZOU basketball. Love him! Hope everyone's weekend was as eventful as ours!

River Trip!

This weekend, I went on my 1st float down the Illinois. There were 24 of us that went, 7 of us that live in our neighborhood. We left late afternoon on Friday & stopped to eat dinner at Sam & Ella's. We pulled in to the cabin a little after dark. I am sooooo mad that I didn't get a pic of the cabin. I can only describe it as this: There was a room in the middle with some tables & a kitchen. Then to the right & left were rooms that had like 20 bunk beds. The mattresses were about an inch thick & I'm not sure it would have held Trey up for the entire night. So, it was not the best lookin' place I have ever seen. I don't want to go into all of the details of Friday night, but we had a scary evening & decided to pack all of our stuff at about 1:30 that morning & go find a hotel. There was so many people there floating the river, and there was a fishing tournament in town, so there weren't a lot of rooms available. Kasey called every hotel in Tahlequah and found us 4 rooms at the MOTOR LODGE! So, by the time we all get checked in & stand outside & talk & all that, I didn't even get to bed until after 3. Some of the guys stayed up until after 4. Luckily, we didn't have to float until noon the next day! Once again, I am sooooo mad that I didn't get a pic of this hotel either! I don't know what my problem was this weekend of not taking pics. (I know I didn't take a lot at the river because I was too scared to drop it!) Anyways, the room wasn't the Ritz, but it was better than the "military school style" cabin we were supposed to stay in. We did the 6 mile & I had so much fun! I can't wait until next year! Floating the river should def. be an annual trip for us!

Here is part of the group getting all of the stuff onto the rafts.
Dr. Jayme, me, & Kristy!
And this is what Chad looks like after not having a
whole lot of sleep & floating the river all day! That hair-do was definitely worth the $5 that Rafe paid him!
We headed back home this morning just in time for Abby's birthday party @Earlywine pool. Don't laugh at me, but here is ANOTHER pic of the Maj & Abby!

Shad's Birthday

We went to Halftime last night for Shad's Birthday! Had fun, and got to talk to Jon for awhile. We don't see him as much anymore. I know I'm completely off the subject of Shad's birthday, but I met Trey through Jon. Small world! Anyhow, Abby stayed with us at Halftime so Cory & Kortney could go get a few things for her birthday. They were so cute on the way home...singing all the Bieber songs. Major kept saying, "I wish Abby could stay the night." We don't really know all the rules on that kind of stuff so we just told them we would get together next week! So, Happy Birthday to one of my favorite people!

4th of July!

I start to do my 4th of July entry, and realize that I didn't take a single picture of the party at my in-laws. Basically it rained ALL DAY LONG, and I didn't even get my camera out. We ended up going to buy a few fireworks for Maj & Ty and setting them off in the Chaddrick's front yard. Gage & Gunnar were there too. There were only a few scary parts, but we did survive! I am a huge scaredy cat when it comes to fireworks. I just know one is going to blow up or something. We did have 2 that had huge malfunctions and got this momma scared, so I was glad when they were over. I enjoy the snakes & smoke bombs :) Hope everyone had a good 4th! Maybe next year it won't rain!

EDWARD Fix, then the lake!

FINALLY!!! Eclipse is here! I didn't think I would be up for the midnight showing because we were driving in from Galveston that day. My friend Kasey got me & Nene our balcony tickets for the 5:10 show. OH MY GOSH!!! How I love these movies!!! (Not as much as the books of course!) I can't wait to see it again...I honestly can't believe that I haven't been to see it for a second time yet. Major does want to see it, so that's a good enough reason for me to go again.

After the movie, I drove to Ft. Cobb to meet the fam & the rest of the Tuttle crew. Josh, Shauna, Will, & Kate were in town so they went too. We only stayed 2 nights- had to get back for the annual 4th of July party at my in-laws (pics to come later). Maj caught some minnows and they all ran wild! Just look at those faces!

Galveston!!!

Kristy & I decided to take the kiddos on a little vacation to Galveston. We left on a Friday, and came back on a Tuesday. The weather was perfect! We left for OKC just in time for the rain to get there. The drive there took us about 12 hours... we had no men with us so we stopped at a few stores on the way & didn't feel bad if we had to stop & potty every hour!

So, yes, we had the box on top of the car! We were so embarrassed when we pulled up to our hotel. The place only had valet & there was a ton of people standing outside- so we just pulled around the corner & unloaded the car. Rather than have everyone looking up at our booties, we figured this was the better option!

Our hotel... very nice! Had great shopping on the street behind us.

Group pic! Poor Tatum had foot surgery a couple of days before we left. Thank goodness for the wheelchair!

So, Kristy had 2 things that she wanted to do...go watch the dolphins & rent these STUPID bikes! Oh, we look like we are having a great time in the pic, but it's because we haven't started yet! Basically, it costs us $27 for an hour... we had her back to the place in about 15 minutes and that included resting time! Sadly, K didn't get to see the dolphins :(

Moody Gardens was a place that had an aquarium, 3D movies, a pool, a rainforest, etc... Pretty neat & the kids liked it.

Eating dinner on the Pier 21

Day 2 of Moody Gardens

We didn't get in too much beach time. There was a ton of seaweed! Maj loved the waves!

There was an old time soda/ice cream/candy store behind our hotel that we visited a few times. One thing about our 3 kids- they love their candy!

The 3 kiddos

The 2 moms

We decided to drive to the Houston Aquarium on the last day because it was cloudy. The kids got to touch stingrays. And that python is huge & SCARY!

Me & the Maj at the Rainforest Cafe! (and we did indulge in the brownie volcano!)

Late night swimming at the hotel.

It's like 100 degrees in Galveston and this girl orders chili!!!

Our last night... We let the kids swim & Tatum had to keep his foot dry.
Our little road trip came to an end- and we were much faster on the way home! We knew Chad & Trey missed us and couldn't wait for us to get home!
