Chicks

Every year, my class TRIES to have some chicks! Now, I say this because that's how it is! I just try every year to make sure that I'm turning them, keeping water in the incubator, keeping the temperature right, and all that good stuff... I have had years that we don't hatch a single egg, but this year we had 8!!!

Easter 2011

Our Easter festivities started on Thursday with Major's Easter egg hunt at school. The kids had to find 6 eggs with their names on them. I had the Land Run at my school, but managed to run over to see him for a bit.

That night, we dyed eggs...

Then Friday night, Maj stayed all night with Nano so Trey & I could go to Little Sahara for the night. We (Tiff, Cory, Matt, Jana, Perry, Danny, Tricia, Joey, and Chris) got there about 9:00 Friday night and came home the next day around noon. For some reason, I didn't take any pictures...but as always, it was mucho FUN!!! Saturday night, we went to church and had quite a crew go with us. Greg was playing at Nachitos that evening, so we went straight there after church to listen to Greg sing.

Sunday morning, Major got up to see if the Easter bunny had brought him the graffiti scooter he has been dying to have! It was raining, so he didn't get to try out the chalk on the driveway, but Trey let him make a mark on my floors! (thank goodness for concrete floors!)
Then, we went to Nene's for Easter lunch.
We had to hunt eggs in the house...it was still raining! But, I know we def. needed the rain!

When the rain did stop, Major had fun throwing eggs at the tree...

The DUNES!

We headed to the Dunes again this last weekend. We were supposed to leave Friday night, but the wind was blowing 100 miles an hour, so we left early Saturday morning. The Birk's, Moore's, & Waitman's went with us this weekend. We all 8 stayed in our new trailer so we were cozy! Besides a few bumps & crashes, we had a freakin' BLAST!!! We are going back the 2nd weekend in May & we all cannot wait!:)

First tooth...GONE!

Major finally lost his first tooth! Almost all of his friends have lost several teeth, so we have been waiting! Now, 2 weeks ago, Maj tells me that he feels something behind his front lower teeth- so I think he has food or something stuck in his gums. NOPE! It's a freakin' tooth coming in!!! And he hasn't even lost the one that it's taking the place of!!! His tooth finally gets loose & comes out while he is at the movies with Nene & Poops. We had to wait 2 nights for the Tooth Fairy to come to our house because he stayed all night with Nene Friday night & Corben Saturday night.

Take a good look at the kid's teeth! Braces are definitely in our future!:)

Spring Break 2011

Spring Break went by way too fast! Major, Nene, & Poops left Friday evening to head to Keystone, and Trey & I headed to Norman to pick up our new car! (Got a new 4Runner!) My dad didn't want to drive the trip in one day, so they stayed the night in Kansas and we met up with them Saturday morning. We (Trey, me, Danny, & Tricia) left Tuttle around 5:30 am & pulled in to Keystone about 13 hours later. The weather was perfect this year! I love skiing when it's not freezing cold.

Maj turned in to a dare-devil this year! He was pretty good last year, but this year, he had no fear! I think we hit every jump on every run! (I'll post some video later!) I had to give in & get the kid a helmet. The Waitman's were already there, and we got to ski a few days with them.

We got home late Thursday night, unloaded the car, and got up early Friday morning to get ready for Little Sahara. Less than 24 hours later, we were gone again!

Little Sahara...I already miss you!

Friday afternoon, we loaded up the toy hauler & the Ranger and headed to Little Sahara. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am in LOVE with this place!!! I had sooo much fun! We went out on the dunes Friday night for the first time. I rode with Trevor on his RZR, and now I am hooked! There is nothing more fun than jumping those things! So, now, I need a RZR!!! My little friend, Kristy, doesn't share my excitement; but she was a trooper! We got up Saturday morning & waited out the rain & lightening (I heard it was a beautiful day in the city on Saturday, but it was cold there), and then we were out riding again. We came home Sunday so that I could unload, do the million piles of laundry, & get ready to go back to school!
