Kindergarten!!!

Major's 1st day of school was Monday! Yes, we have already been 4 days now, but I've had a million things to do this week, so I'm just getting to the computer.

Major now rides to school with me every morning. So far we have done great! We have left the house in plenty of time for Momma to get her diet coke at Kids, and we have been arriving EARLY (shocking I know!) to school!

He's been having fun and has met new friends! Lunch is going well for my picky eater. He ate the corn dog in the cafe on the 1st day, but since then has taken his lunch. I figure by next week, he will have a lunch date once a week between his dad, Nene, Papa, Nano, and Papaw!

"Meet your Teacher" 2011

Where has the summer gone??? I swear it was just the last day of school! Now, it's already that time again... Back to school! I'm just ready for FALL to get here (and most importantly FALL WEATHER!).

Thursday night was "Meet Your Teacher" night. Major got Mrs.Watford (Love her!). I had her daughter, Rylee in my class the 1st year I taught at Tuttle! She was and still is a doll! Once again, I didn't get to go with Maj, so the dad, grandmas, & grandpas took care of everything.

So, tomorrow is the 1st day of school. I'm hoping everything runs as smooth as possible in the morning. I'm horrible at getting up in the morning & Major would sleep 'till 11 everyday if I would let him! It's our 1st morning test of being at Tuttle Elementary by 8AM!!! Wish us luck!

Football season has begun!

So, we let Major play football this year! He kept asking, and we kept explaining.... fingers stepped on, being tackled, being in the bottom of a pile (he hates that!), the heat, and so on... But, he still wanted to play. The original plan was 7th grade, so we're about 7 years too early!

Our 1st practice was on Monday. We will practice every Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday; and play on Saturdays. YEA for FOOTBALL!

40 YEARS!!!

We celebrated Nene's 40th year with AT&T on Friday!

And she has no plans of retiring!

Mexico Trip 2011

The long-awaited trip to Mexico finally came!!! Kristy & I finally got to go on an adult vacation together! We stayed at the NOW Jade in Puerto Morales, which is right between Cancun & Playa. The resort was nice, food was awesome, and beach wasn't bad either. There were no towel cards, or even wrist bands! We spent most of our time at the pool... Trey & I are pool people! I did get in the ocean ONE time (I felt like I owed it to Kristy!:) but I was always on SHARK WATCH!!! Us girls swam with the dolphins one day, but I didn't get any pics- they wouldn't let us take our cameras. Our last night, we went to Playa. We all made it back safe! No hairy situations or anything like that!

Swimming Lessons '11

Maj has had swimming lessons the last 2 weeks. He loves it...and why wouldn't he?!? All of his friends are there!
